Bumiputera Training Fund (BTF)

The Bumiputera Training Fund (BTF) or Dana Latihan Bumiputera (DLB) was set up in 1997 with contributions from the Securities Commission, Bursa Malaysia and members of ASCM. Its objective is to encourage active Bumiputera participation in the stockbroking industry and to improve the trading knowledge and skills of all employees in the stockbroking industry.

Training programmes funded by the BTF are aimed at benefiting all levels of Bumiputera professionals and licensed representatives in the stockbroking industry, inclusive of management, licenced representatives, executives and support staff.

As the Secretariat of the Fund, SIDC manages the training programmes with guidance from the BTF Education Committee, Finance Committee and Board of Trustees.

For 2020, application for training programmes is open to the following areas of focus:

  • SC Licensing Examinations Revision Course
  • Familiarisation Programmes
  • Other CPE-Approved Programmes

Applications to attend training programmes organised by providers other than SIDC are also welcomed. Please note that it is the responsibility of the applicants to ensure that their selected programmes are of quality, relevant to their needs, and organised by reputable training providers.

To register for BTF-funded programmes, please download the BTF application form and submit it to the BTF Secretariat. Forms must be received no later than 7 working days before the course date.
