Arni Laily Anwarrudin

Arni Laily Anwarrudin is currently the Head of Merger & Acquisition and PETRONAS Ventures since January 2021. A PETRONAS scholar, Arni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Over the span of 20 years in PETRONAS, Arni’s career includes various roles in business planning, business development, treasury, financial services, management reporting and risk management. These experiences allowed her to add value across the breadth of PETRONAS’ business and operations. She has also taken on leadership roles in the areas of commercial finance and corporate finance.

In her current role as Head of Merger & Acquisition and PETRONAS Ventures, Arni leads corporate M&A and divestment activities and PETRONAS’ corporate venture capital investments, focusing on the areas of Future of Chemicals, Future of Energy and Future of Facilities. PETRONAS Ventures was set up for PETRONAS to gain a stronger pulse in the tech ecosystem, with a view of getting timely insights and access to disruptive and innovative technologies.

Leading up to her appointment to the current position, Arni was the Head of Group Corporate Finance, the Centre of Excellence for capital markets, fund raising and credit rating advisory in PETRONAS.
