Overview
Sustainability has evolved from a niche environmental concern into a strategic business imperative that shapes long-term growth and resilience. Today, it’s a key driver of competitiveness as governments introduce ESG regulations and global companies demand greater accountability across their supply chains The Certified Corporate Sustainability Practitioner 1(CCSP 1) programme equips professionals with the knowledge and skills to drive sustainability transformation. It focuses on upskilling and reskilling in sustainability reporting and governance, enhancing the quality, accuracy, and reliability of sustainability data and disclosures—ultimately strengthening corporate Malaysia’s competitiveness in the global arena Participants may proceed to enrol for CCSP 1 by registering for the following components:
  • Workshop: NSRF Preparers’ Programme (NPP) Module 1 – Sustainability Reporting Using the ISSB Illustrative Sustainability Report; and
  • E-learning and Assessment
Participants must attend the Workshop: NSRF Preparers’ Programme (NPP) Module 1 – Sustainability Reporting Using the ISSB Illustrative Sustainability Report before registering for the E-learning and Assessment component. The registration links are provided the table below.

This programme is designed to equip participants with the skills to drive sustainability transformation by upskilling and reskilling in reporting and governance, while enhancing the quality, accuracy, and reliability of sustainability data and disclosures to boost corporate Malaysia’s competitiveness
Learning Outcomes By the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
  • explain key sustainability factors, concepts, principles, strategies, and methodologies used to evaluate and strengthen a corporate sustainability framework.
  • interpret and apply key concepts and requirements of the sustainability reporting landscape, including the assurance ecosystem, conceptual foundations, and mandatory disclosure requirements.
  • integrate ESG principles, strategies, and methodologies into organisational decision-making, operations, and governance processes in accordance with Malaysian regulatory requirements, established taxonomies, standards, and best practices.
  • conduct sustainability assessments using recognised methodologies, relevant data, and criteria to evaluate compliance and alignment with Malaysian regulatory frameworks, taxonomies, standards, and best practices, and to provide informed recommendations for organisational sustainability initiative

Methodology


Certified Corporate Sustainability Practitioner 1 (CCSP1) is conducted via blended mode and comprises the following components:

  1. Bursa Malaysia Corporate Sustainability Practitioner (CSP) 2.0 Digital Self-Assessment Tool;
  2. Workshop: NSRF Preparers’ Programme (NPP) Module 1 – Sustainability Reporting Using the ISSB Illustrative Sustainability Report,
  3. eLearning: CCSP 1 – Sustainability, ESG and SRI Essentials; and
  4. CCSP 1 Summative Assessment
  • CC03 Corporate Governance
  • FOR04 Capital Market Products Regulations
  • FOP05 Sustainable and Responsible Investment Products
  • FUT10 Sustainability/SRI Analysis

Entry Requirements


An individual shall be eligible to enrol for the CCSP 1 based on the following requirement:
  1. Possess a degree or professional qualification from recognised institution; or
  2. Possess a diploma from a recognised institution with a minimum 2 years of working experience

Duration of Modules


The total duration for CCSP 1 programme is maximum of 12 weeks* (3 months)
  1. Bursa Malaysia Corporate Sustainability Practitioner (CSP) 2.0 Digital Self-Assessment Tool.
  2. Workshop = 1-day workshop.
  3. e-Learning Modules (8 Modules) = 30 minutes per module.
  4. Summative Assessment = 120 minutes
*CCSP 1 is a self-paced learning programme, and participants may complete it with a minimum of 15 contact hours.

Target Audience


Professionals and aspiring sustainability practitioners, including Chief Sustainability Officers, managers, executives, and analysts, as well as CMSRL license holders, sustainability strategists, reporting and engagement specialists, risk managers, sustainability report preparers and assurance providers.

Completion Requirements


Completion of the programme is upon fulfilment of all requirements below:
  1. Completion of the Bursa Malaysia Corporate Sustainability Practitioner (CSP) 2.0 Digital Self-Assessment Tool
  2. Completion of Workshop: NSRF Preparers’ Programme (NPP) Module 1 – Sustainability Reporting Using the ISSB Illustrative Sustainability Report,
  3. Completion of e-Learning: CCSP 1 – Sustainability, ESG and SRI Essentials or Sustainability, ESG and SRI Essentials; and
  4. Passing CCSP 1 Summative assessments.
