Dr. Pamilia Andrew
Clinical Psychologist and Health Coach, Naluri
Dr. Pamilia is a clinical psychologist and health coach in Naluri. She helps provide psychoeducation and engaging webinar sessions to clients as well as remote therapy sessions. In addition to her work in Naluri, Dr. Pamilia is an Assistant Professor at IIUM's Department of Psychology. She has over ten years of experience working as a clinical psychologist with governmental and non-governmental organisations in paediatric and adult units. She earned her Master's degree in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from IIUM, as well as her doctorate in Psychology from the same university. She is also certified in person-centered counselling skills.
Her commitment to community engagement and quality in education continues with her involvement as a researcher in shelter homes. She recently launched an action initiative aimed at strengthening the mental, behavioural, and social well-being of teenagers living with HIV/AIDS in Kuala Lumpur shelter homes. She is also passionate about assisting the homeless and has worked as an assistant facilitator in a homeless workshop co-hosted by Pertubuhan Tindakan Wanita Islam (PERTIWI) and Human Relations Wellness Growth (HRW).
Dr. Pamilia was also the Coordinator of the IIUM Mental Health and Psychosocial Care Team (IMPaCT), which helped staff and students with psychosocial problems, earning the team an Honourable Mention at the Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) Recognition Award. Dr. Pamilia is also the Coordinator for the Department of Psychology in the Psychology Services Unit (PSU), which provides psychotherapy and consulting services to the public.
Dr. Pamilia’s zeal for science is complemented by her expertise as a public speaker, and she was named National Champion of a 3 Minute Thesis Competition (founded by the University of Queensland) held in Malaysia, as well as a competitor in the Asia-Pacific 3 Minute Thesis held in Queensland, Australia.
She has delivered over 50 talks, webinars and training sessions to corporate and governmental organisations and clients such as MNRB Holdings, Zurich, AXAGI, Motherhood.com, SP Setia, BMS, Dutch Lady, Agrobank, Axiata, AXA Singapore, Australia High Commissioner, Prolintas, MKH Berhad, OnApp, UTP, LeapEd Services Sdn Bhd, Nightingale Studio SS2, Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Segi College, SMK Puchong Utama and various other centres.
Her talks and training programmes are focused on subjects such as building resilience, managing stress, burnout and fatigue, nurturing one’s inner psychic bandwidth mental compartmentalisation, flourishing amidst a pandemic, time and task management and a variety of other fields that assist individuals in harnessing the strength within themselves to achieve higher potential.
Dr. Shawn Lee
Clinical Psychologist and Head of Science, Naluri
Dr. Shawn Lee is a practicing Clinical Psychologist, specialising in using cognitive behavioural therapy and clinical hypnosis to manage depression, anxiety and pain. He is also Naluri’s Head of Science, where he is responsible for Naluri’s behavioural change research and clinical trials.
He is a sought-after speaker at corporate events and training programs on mental health and wellbeing where he helps his audience to understand the differences between normal levels of stress, anxiety and depression, and when it becomes a clinical disorder, and how to manage it and when to seek help. He has also conducted training programs on sleep management, communications and conflict resolution, and goal-setting and behavioral change.
In addition to his work with digital health at Naluri, Dr Shawn is a visiting psychologist at Hospital Selayang’s Pain Clinic. He also sees a select number of clients at Psycle Consultancy. He previously practised as a clinical psychologist at SOLS Health, Effective Living Sdn Bhd, General Hospital of Kuala Lumpur, UPM Department of Psychiatry and the UKM Health Psychology Clinic.
He previously held academic and teaching positions at Monash University, Malaysia and the University of Cyberjaya. He completed his PhD at Universiti Putra Malaysia, on psychological techniques to manage chronic pain. He earned his Masters in Clinical Psychology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Dr Shawn’s professional affiliations are with the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology, Malaysian Association for the Study of Pain, and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
