Creative Problem Solving & Decision Making

 

In today’s demanding world of business, employees are faced with the challenge of producing more with less, become faster and more efficient. Employees must possess the knowledge and skills to come up with ideas to enhance performance, resolves issues and solve problems creatively. They must find the most appropriate and cost effective solution to satisfy both the organisation as well as the customer.

This course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills, motivation, tools and techniques in systematically solving day-to-day problems effectively at the workplace.

Programme Objective
Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to identify and use structured tools to manage and solve a problem.

Speaker: Joseph Anand John

Joseph Anand John has been in the training industry for 10 years. An engineer by profession, he started off his training career in the technical field, conducting training on statistical process control, electronics engineering and electrical engineering. He is also a Certified Facilitator by the Asian Experiential Educational Alliance (AEEA). He has also taught at various training institutions and engineering schools at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has taught a number of professional courses, including the Higher National Diploma, BTEC, Engineering Council and City & Guilds.He started conducting soft skills training specialising in team building and employee motivation in the year 2000. Joseph has trained many MNCs including IBM, Satyam Computers Ltd, Hewlett Packard, Komag, Maxis, Motorola, MayBank, AC Nielsen, BCB Bank, Affin Bank, Dawama, F&N Dairies, HSBC Trade Services, TLDM, Agilent, Utusan Malaysia and others. He also conducts programmes on customer service, problem solving, coaching & counseling, telemarketing, supervisory skills and project management.

Joseph was also a training specialist in Maxis Communication Berhad, where he designed and conducted training programmes on customer service and corporate customer management. He was also the Product Manager, whereby he advised and assisted the Product Management Department of Maxis to develop and introduce new products into the telecommunications market. From this position, he accumulated vast experience conducting market survey, understanding market needs, advertising and promotions. Joseph has held various management positions in the corporate sector. He was the General Manager of Sales in BayCom Sdn Bhd, a Satellite based broadband company. Here, Joseph was in charge of all sales activities and was responsible in setting up the whole sales operations of the organisation.

Prior to his appointment as General Manager, Joseph was attached to Telemedia International, an Australian Company specialising in providing telecommunication solutions. Here, Joseph was the Regional Manager for South East Asia and has worked with many multinational companies such as Mobile One (Singapore), Pacific Internet (Singapore), Brunei Telekom, ASIA Wireless Telecom (Thailand) and many more.

Between 2007 and 2009, Joseph was involved in the Management Development Program (MDP) by IBM. Joseph was a Certified Facilitator to conduct IBM’s MDP Program. To date, Joseph has conducted more than 40 sessions of IBM MDP Programs for Maxis and Maybank. Joseph has also conducted IBM MDP for Cisco Networks in San Jose, California, Bangalore, India and in Singapore.
