Building a Successful Asean Investment Portfolio

Building a successful asean investment portfolio

Dates:  10 August 2017 (8.30am - 5.00pm)
Venue: Securities Commission Malaysia
Accreditation: SIDC CPE-approved: 10 CPE points

The introduction of the ASEAN Exchanges collaboration in 2011 has ensured a more convenient route to investing in ASEAN countries and allowed investors to take advantage of the booming regional economies. This, together with initiatives under the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) such as the ASEAN Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) framework, has increased the attractiveness of ASEAN to both local and foreign investors. The need to ensure a network of dealers, advisors (and investors) who have a greater understanding of ASEAN and the ability to operate at the cross border level becomes more important with the development of ASEAN markets and product innovation.

This programme provides capital market professionals and investors with the latest updates on the dynamics of ASEAN markets and the range of investment opportunities available. Current trends will be laid out along with challenges apparent with cross border investments, followed by what to expect in 2017 from an ASEAN perspective.
